The Senior Group was a happy friendly group of ladies whose husbands had retired, also female members of staff. We met in the Chaplaincy Centre every month for
coffee and biscuits and a lot of chat. I think many friendships were made at this time as we all had a different lifestyle in retirement.
I think the understanding was that these ladies were members of the Tea Club. I remember when I was secretary, going to Lady Phillip's house
to collect subscriptions. (She was holding the meeting at her house at the beginning of the session).
I think I joined the Tea Club in 1949 and many names come back.
